The Lost Stories

Rangers Apprentice book 11 came out about 3 weeks ago.

It's an unmissable read, it explains everything that I've been wondering about for awhile. 

And it is a really good book.

Rating probably about 10/10.

And all the Ranger's Apprentice books are 10/10, they are one of the best series I reckon.

They are very funny.

Cricket Starts

It's cricket season!! 

Cricket started about 3 weeks ago.

I'm playing for the same club, but playing in 16's instead of 14's.

In 16's we play on a turf pitch (which means the pitch is basically hard dirt).

Which is a bit of a change from 14's, because in 14's we play on a basically concrete pitch.

And I'm playing for 3rd grade, and this year Dad, my brother and me are playing in which is fun.

In 16's, my team played well for the first game of the season. 

It was a 20/20 (We play 20 overs fielding, than 20 overs batting).

We fielded first, got two wickets which isn't good or bad. The other team got 140 runs in 20 overs.

 When we batted they got 5 wickets, and we scored 110 runs.

I balled 2 overs, got one wicket and didn't catch any.

On the batting side, I faced 2 balls and all the 20 overs were over. I never got out.

With the second game we fielded first and got 110 runs hit off us and only got 2 wickets again.

I balled terrible got about 15 runs hit off my which most were no-balls.

Then our team came out to bat, we got 157 runs in 20 overs. Again an annoying thing happened I went in with 4 balls to go, got no runs and didn't get out.

Ok with 3rd grade, my team didn't go that well.

We fielded they got 171 runs off 40 overs, with 8 out in 20 overs.

Then the horrible thing happened we had 115 runs in 20 overs, so we had 20 overs left and only had 2 people out. And got out in the next 14 overs with only about 150 altogether.

On the second game fielded first again, in 16's and 3rd grade our team hasn't batted first.

They got 209 runs in 40 overs.

We batted we thought we were going to get smashed, but something strange happened. We got 215 in 28 overs. One of our batsman got 108 runs (Not-Out). So we won easily, with only 3 batsman out in our team.

So had lot's of fun so far.

We went to Movie World on Tuesday!!

It was so awesome.

There were so many good rides and shows.

The rides I liked were Superman Escape, Scooby Doo  Spooky Coaster, Wild West Falls.

Shows I like: Stunt Driver, Batman Show. (There was lot's of other shows but I never watched them 'cause I was having fun on rides).

Altogether Movie World was so awesome.

Soccer Update

Last Saturday, we played our second game.

We were versing the team that came 7th last year, and we beat them 5-0

Our team didn't play that well, we were keep on shooting straight at the goolkeeper.

But we did only have 9 players, and they had 12.

 

We have no games on today and next week because of School Holidays.

We're first on the ladder now, hopefully stay there, but we probably won't.

Holiday

Holiday!!

We had lot's of fun there, it was so awesome.

One week ago Monday, we went to the Gold Coast (Queensland Australia).

 On the Monday we got to Wet'n'wild at 9.45 AM, and lined up.

After it opened at 10.00 AM, we went in.

All day we had lot's of fun there on all of the rides.

My favourite was Kamikaze.

We left at about 3.50 PM, because it was cold and we had to get to Sea World Resort, and unpack.

After we unpacked, we went to a place, where we had a buffet Tea. Which is all you can eat.

Then after tea, went back to the Resort and went to bed.

In the morning we had a Buffet Breakfast, at the Resort (Which was good).

We only had to walk just outside of the Resort to come to Sea World.

At Sea World we saw a Dolphin Show, which was so amazing.

We went to the Shark Pool, which had lot's of Sharks, and fishes in it.

The next day we went to Sea World again, and went to the Water Park there.

And we left about 1:30PM, and arrived home later that day.

We had a wonderful holiday.

Sorry I didn't post for ages.

Soccer Update

We versed the best team from last year, and we won.

In the end we scored 3 goals, and they scored 0.

We are pretty good this year.

In the first half I was right-back, but every time there was a corner I had to go up a kick the corner kick. 

I was captain this week, but someone said it was for the whole year, but I'm not sure.

Our family is going to the Gold Coast tomorrow. We are going to Wet'n'Wild (a theme park). We're staying over night, and going to Seaworld the next day (which will be fun, cause I've never been there. And we're staying over again and coming back home the next day.

It will be fun.

I'll post about it on Wednesday when I get back.

Soccer

We have nearly started soccer again, it starts this Saturday, we have been training for 2 weeks and I reckon we are going to be pretty good this season.

There is some new players, and a new coach which is nice and good.

Last year we came 4th but we versed the older grade.

I play in U/14's and play in the same team as last year.

We have 11 or 12 players so that will be good, because last year we had about 4 subs each game. 

So I will update on what the game turns out to be like.

Cricket Finals

As all of you probably know Grace and Naomi's team won the Grand Finals.

Our played pretty good, after you didn't start to good it was like 2/9 that is very bad.

But in the end we had about 113 runs with only 3 out in 20 overs.

The other team started off with a good start but we got some of the batsman out and the run rate went down fairly far.

But any way they won by about 3 runs and a over, only one over. 

Sorry I didn't post for a long time.

Cricket Update

My team played cricket yesterday.

Our team went alright.

We got the other team out for 61 runs in 17 overs.

And our team got 4/114 in 23 overs.

Next week we bat for another 17 overs and try to get the most runs we can.

Then after our overs the other team bats for another 23 overs and we want to get them out before the overs run out so we get an outright win, and that will be cool.

When we balled I got 1 wicket for 8 runs from 2 overs.

When we batted I opened and got 14 runs.

Hope we get them out next week.

Riddle Answers

The answers for the riddles that I was doing last year, but didn't get to post it.

First Riddle:

 Q: Harry was 20 years old in 1980, but only 15 years old in 1985. How is this possible?
A: Harry was born in 2000 B.C

That means Saxon and Jesse were right.

The Second Riddle: 

Q: Once there was a man, he lived in a apartment. The apartment was 40 stories high, the man lived on the 30th floor. He worked everyday in town. 

On sunny days the man comes back to the apartment after a days work, but he only goes up the elevator to the 8th floor and walks the rest of the way up the stairs to his floor. 

But on rainy days he comes back to the apartment after the days work, and goes up the elevator all the way to his floor. Why Does He Do This?

A: The elevator buttons started at the bottom of the elevator, and went up to the top of the elevator as the floors got higher. The man was a miniature man, so on sunny days he couldn't reach his floor button, the highest button he could push was the 8th button which went to the 8th floor. That's why he had to walk the rest of the way. But on rainy days he had his umbrella with him, so he could reach the button for his floor.

No one got this one right, but good try for the people who had a try.

So that's the answers.

I didn't tell the answer to a riddle I told ages ago so I'm going to have another contest on it.
It's pretty hard if anyone wants to know.

Here's the riddle:
A Bad Man

A bad man buried four men in the desert up to their necks.

Three of the men were facing in one direction and the fourth man was facing the other three men but he couldn’t see them because there was a wall in the way.

The bad man blind folded them and placed a white or black hat on each of them, there were two white hats and two black hats. Then he removed the blindfolds.

After he placed the hats on them, he said that whoever can tell him what colour hat they had on he would let that person go and let the other three die. So your task is to find out who knows 100% what hat he has on.

The order of the hats: one on the far left is white, next one in is black, then white and the end one is black. Tell me which man knew 100% what colour hat he had on his head and why. The men didn't know which colour hat they had on remember.  

This contest ends on the 6th March (Which I reckon is a wonderful day)
